Pharr Population Growth Increase of 242% through 2060

(Pharr, July 2007) - The Texas Water Development Board estimates the City of Pharr population will increase by 242 percent by the year 2060. The 2006 Regional Water Plan projected growth in population from 46,660 reported in the 2000 U.S. Census to 150,291 by 2060. The current population is at 62,000. (Pharr - June 2007) In Texas, the June seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained at 4.1 percent, unchanged from May, its lowest point since the current series began in 1976.
